All classes are filmed on professional equipment. Each class is also critiqued on a play-back monitor to enable each student to actually see and hear how they appear on camera. Instructor, Steve Willmon, has an extensive background as an acting coach and an instructor beginning in 1975 in Los Angeles. Many who have studied acting in New York and Los Angeles consider Steve's classes vastly superior. In fact, Steve has students driving from Carlsbad, Roswell, Clovis, El Paso, Las Cruces, Edgewood, etc. Two students even relocated to Albuquerque from Las Cruces and Denver, CO for the sole purpose of studying with him. Who can take part in this workshop?
This workshop is open to ages 3 to adult for both the workshop and photo shoot.

What happens after I register online?

Once you have registered online at www.solacting.com (just look under any age category to find the workshop), you will call one of three Kim Jew Studios listed below to schedule your modeling session between May 1-23, 2011. You can choose the studio location based what is most convenient for you, depending on where you live or work. When you call Kim Jew Photography, tell them you are registered for A Day in the Life of a Model. The informational seminar "The Truth About the Modeling Industry" for the entire group will be Saturday, April 30 from 4:30-6:00pm at the Sol Acting Academy studios, 127 Bryn Mawr SE, Suite F, Albuquerque, NM 87106.

Private Lessons are a fantastic way to achieve all of your goals. We offer 3 options to get you started with private lessons.

Each private lesson is with Laura Mathis, Owner of Sol Acting Academy. Laura was voted "Best Acting Coach" in Albuquerque the Magazine's "Best of the City" 2009 Awards. Laura prides herself on being on honest, positive, and a knowledgeable resource for you no matter if you are age 4 or 94! She has been performing since the age of 6 and is passionate about the power of acting and performance. Laura is a working actress, whose passion for YOUR success is felt the second you walk in the door.

Sol Acting Academy is not a fly-by-night operation based out of L.A. (or anywhere else) who will make you promises that can never be kept. We know that it's sometimes hard to know who to trust in the entertainment industry. Our prices are very reasonable and we want you to leave happy and confident. We will always be on our feet during a private lesson! We tape our work for playback on the monitor, invite parents in to watch their child's progress, or even just follow up after the big audition.

"Extreme Justice Episode 2: The Broad and The Cephalopod"

(SAG and Non-Union)

When: Sunday, April 3rd, 2011

Extreme Justice (aka Wild Justice) is currently casting for "Episode 2: The Broad and The Cephalopod" to be filmed at the end of April/beginning of May. Produced by Carissa Mitchell and Jeffrey Harper and Directed by Grubb Graebner, this episode attempts to resolve the case of a young woman being attacked by what she thinks is a squid in the Santa Rosa Blue Hole Lake. Extreme Justice is under a SAG Deferred Short Film Student Agreement.

ANTOINE BRIQUET, male, 30-50, smarmy Frenchman, speaks with thick accent, thinks he's an expert on oceanographic life because he has watched all of Jacques Cousteau's programs.

CHARLES CRINKLE, male, 50-70, an older man dressed in the clothes of a younger man that don't suit his age, keeps getting tazed for disrupting the court, but has crucial evidence.

LARRY BLUNT, male, 25-40, unwitting fool, thinks he's the boyfriend of the woman on trial, he's really a beard.

LIZ LEESPIN, female, 20-35, strikingly beautiful but obvious lesbian stereotype, strong and confident, out for revenge on her former cheating girlfriend.

JULIAN CHILDS, male, 25-50, sushi chef, grandson of Julia Childs, think Dan Ackroyd doing Julia Childs on SNL.

JURY MEMBERS (background):
Lookalikes for Brody, Quint, Hooper in Jaws.
