MISSION:

Our mission is to provide both local and national projects with the best talent New Mexico has to offer. Applause Talent Agency (ATA) is an SAG-certified actors’ agency. We do require acting experience and the proper motivation to pursue an acting career.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US:

• Fair representation and active opportunity presentations. We do our best to stay current with acting opportunities for all our clients.
• We are not a modeling agency, although at times we are asked to provide talent for print work and appearances in commercials.
• We will consider all experienced actors that have the motivation and the necessary means to advance their acting careers.
• We are not seeking new talent who want to do background work at this time. If you are interested in background, or “extras,” work, you can find postings for open casting calls on our “News” page or go to nmfilm.com and go to “For Locals”.  It is not required that you have an agent in order to work as an extra, but if you have current background experience and would like to go to the next level, it is important that you get professional headshots, compose a succinct resume, and participate in acting lessons in order to give you the greatest possible advantage to be chosen for the parts for which you apply.

WHAT WE WILL EXPECT FROM YOU:

• Keep in touch. One of the best ways to stay aware of opportunities is to check our "News" log on a regular basis. If your availability changes, call or email us.
• We're not an employment agency. We make opportunities available to you, but its your responsibility to show up on time and perform at an audition; to present yourself well, and get hired by the production company. We'll provide you with as much "inside information" as we have, but, in the end, its on you.
• Keep learning! There are several low-cost acting classes available in our area, and we do out best to let you know about them on our news log. Besides adding them to your resumé, you'll get to meet many great people who will help you along.
• Because we ask no initial fee, it is your responsibility to provide us with acceptable professional headshots and resumes. We cannot represent you properly unless we have these upon signing a contract.  ATA receives a standard 10% commission for theatrical work and 20% for any print work.
