We’ll be shooting two different sets of scene work, learning about camera angles used for two person scenes, and deepening your connection to important film acting techniques that bring active, truthful choices to your craft.
This class will be taught by Vivian Nesbitt. Vivian’s regional theater credits include George Street Play House (NJ), The Pittsburgh Public (PA) as well as many productions of Shakespeare and summer stock. In Albuquerque, she has been a guest on the Emmy Award winning shows Breaking Bad, Wild Fire, The Lying Game, and In Plain Sight. She has been seen in Mother Road Theater’s production of >The Love Song Of J Robert Oppenheimer as Kitty Oppenheimer and in Rancho Pancho at the National Hispanic Cultural Center. Her ability to hold a supportive, creative atmosphere on stage for her guests enables them to share their stories in an authentic way with the audience. Commercials Workshop
6 Week Class on Mondays in the NE Heights!
November 7- December 12 from 6:30-8:30pm
This new Commercial class is designed to take the actor to the “next level” in commercial auditioning. All exercises are actual commercial audition copy exercises and each week becomes increasingly more challenging to expand the “talent capacity” of each actor, equipping them with even stronger audition techniques and skills making them more competitive in the marketplace, while building confidence and having tons of fun! . This course is also great for the actor that’s interested in getting an agent and wants to be able to book roles right away, or who has an agent but can’t seem to land as many commercials as you want to.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
»
6 different improv exercises that will help your commercial
auditions
» How to let go of nerves and self consciousness
and have fun!
» How to think on your feet and respond in
Improv situations or when directed.
» How to interpret copy
and read it to quickly make sense of it!
» Master your
levels of focus and confidence in auditions, on the set and beyond!
The last class is a live “mock audition” in front of invited friends and family, and the Audience will “ direct” you! We will also invite local Commercial Production companies and Talent Agents. This type of pressure is fantastic to really get your acting chops polished!

New Mexico 's Film, Television, Commercial and New Media industries are still thriving! Summer has officially begun, and Applause Talent Agency has had the privilege of sending many of its talent to auditions on almost a daily basis and is scoring some great bookings, and expects lots more of the same for the future.
Applause Talent should always know that their Agent is just as excited about the results of auditions and will be in contact immediately upon hearing anything. Please don't make "checking in" calls, texts, and emails about the auditions. This can slow their Agent down while trying to submit talent for other opportunities.
There are lots of great changes happening at Applause Talent Agency! Make sure to visit the Applause Talent Agency News Blog to stay informed. Applause Talent Agency is also developing a strong Facebook page. Important news and announcements will be posted there. "Like" the page and notifications will be sent to your FB wall automatically:
